| The Two Paths
As Hollow-Shinigami hybrids, Vizards possess varying degrees of control over each side. Because of this, a Vizard will always lean toward one side, be it their natural Shinigami abilities or the powers of their Inner Hollow. The two sides have been labeled “paths” to classify each individual Vizard by which side of their power is dominant. A Vizard's path determines not only what releases they unlock, but other traits – both pros and cons, as well.
Path of the Shinigami
Those that embark on the path of the Shinigami have yet to gain absolute control over their Inner Hollows, therefore they risk losing control to the Hollow in the heat of battle. In moments of near-death, the Hollow may grow strong enough to take control.
Shinigami Abilities
The unreleased Vizard does not differ from Shinigami. The Vizard's Shikai is slightly underpowered. Up to 4 abilities. The Vizard's Bankai is slightly underpowered. Up to 4 abilities.
Hollow Abilities
The unmasked Vizard gains access to Mask Protection. The Vizard's Mask abilities are slightly more powerful than their underpowered Shikai. Up to 3 abilities. The masked Vizard gains access to Cero.
Path of the Hollow
Those that embark on the path of the Hollow have gained absolute control over their Inner Hollow, but have sacrificed the full power of their Zanpakutou to do so. The Hollow has become the dominant source of the host's power, and has overtaken Bankai and provided its own final release: Resurreccion. During Resurreccion however, a Vizard loses the majority of his/her Shinigami abilities, including their Zanpakutou and Kidou. Those that were once skilled in Kidou will find themselves able to use abilities commonly seen in most Hollows.
Shinigami Abilities
The unreleased Vizard does not differ from Shinigami. The Vizard's Shikai is underpowered. No more than 3 abilities. The Vizard's Bankai is lost to the Hollow, which has become the dominant power source.
Hollow Abilities
The unmasked Vizard gains access to Mask Protection and Garganta. The Vizard's Mask abilities are slightly more powerful than their underpowered Shikai. Up to 4 abilities. The Resurrected Vizard loses access to Kidou, and gains access to Gran Rey Cero. Up to 7 abilities.

| The Two Paths; a short introduction
As Hollow-Shinigami hybrids, Vizards possess varying degrees of control over each side. Because of this, a Vizard will always lean toward one side, be it their natural Shinigami abilities or the powers of their Inner Hollow. The two sides have been labeled “paths” to classify each individual Vizard by which side of their power is dominant. A Vizard's path determines not only what releases they unlock, but other traits – both pros and cons, as well.
It is thus vital that the Vizard makes a careful decision on which way to go, since it will dictate a slightly different set of rules to them!
Shinigami Path In this case, the Shinigami leans towards Shinigami abilities. Shikai and Bankai are largely unaffected by the Inner Hollow. Their Mask gives them various options to increase the power of their Shinigami self.
Hollow Path In this case the Shinigami has embraced their Inner Hollow as a more dominant source of power. Shikai has fewer abilities, in favour for more Mask abilities. Bankai has been replaced completely by a Resurrección.

Shinigami Path In terms of Reiatsu, Shikai is slightly underpowered. Maximum of 4 abilities (passives and actives)
Hollow Path In terms of Reiatsu, Shikai is slightly underpowered. Maximum of 3 abilities (passives and actives)

| Resurrección
Only Hollow Path Vizards get to release a Resurrección. Below are the limitations and information for Resurrección:
You need a minimum of 90 points to Zanpakutou, to be eligible for a Resurrección! Going into Resurrección makes all the effects permanent until the Vizard seals his Resurrección again. The Resurrección cannot be 'broken' like a Mask.
Reiatsu Boost :: The Reiatsu boost a Resurrección brings is the same as a fully developed Bankai at the same level.
Augmentations :: The first two abilities of a Resurrección are the Augmentations, which are carried over from the Mask. They do not offer any additional stat increases.
Abilities :: Resurrección allows for 5 additional abilities, next to the Augmentations. These can be made up by the Vizard themselves or selected from the list of Regulated Abilities. Kido becomes impossible during Resurrección. Instead, those adept at Kido can opt for the Gran Rey Cero.
